An Interview with MDT Captain FleurNL
In the vibrant nightlife of 3DX, where music, design, and performance blend into immersive virtual experiences, dance teams play a unique role in bringing clubs to life. Among the groups shaping that scene is Midnight Dance Team (MDT), known for its polished performances, creative adaptability, and strong sense of community.
Founded in 2022 and steadily growing into one of the recognizable performance teams in the 3DX circuit, MDT has built a reputation for professionalism while keeping the spontaneity and energy that define live virtual shows. From carefully coordinated pole routines to flexible choreography that adapts to each club’s atmosphere, the team continues to evolve alongside the nightlife culture it helps create.
For this edition of The Hidden Circle Gazette, we spoke with FleurNL, captain and co-owner of Midnight Dance Team. In this interview, she shares the story of MDT’s origins, how the team develops its performances, the values that guide recruitment and teamwork, and how dance teams contribute to the broader culture of the 3DX community.

How did the team come to be and how has it evolved over time?
Midnight Dance Team was founded in 2022 by Noa, the sole founder. At the time, she was dancing with Moonlight Stars and dreamed of creating something of her own, a place where creativity, connection, and high-energy performances could come together in one team and one home.
What began as a dream quickly grew. In 2023, MDT became a full entertainment organization with a dedicated Dance Team. The group developed its own identity, a signature performance style, and a growing presence within the 3DXChat community.
At the end of 2023, when Noa stepped back from the Dance Team, Sandy took over and kept the dream alive, guiding MDT into its next chapter.
In early 2024, MDT became an independent dance group, and I joined as Co-Owner. Together, Sandy and I strengthened and organized the team, focusing on professionalism, quality, and a strong sense of community. Since then, MDT has built a reputation for immersive, high-quality performances. We are dedicated, reliable, and always give our best, including a special pole dance act in the second hour of our shows.
Throughout this journey, older members like Melissa, Yuki and Marble have always been there to support and guide the team. In early 2025, Petra joined as a new dancer. She quickly became a valuable part of the team, helping with performances, organization, and PR, further strengthening MDT and its presence in the community.
Newer members such as Raven, Nina, and Fire have since joined and become essential to MDT’s history and future, bringing fresh energy and creativity.
Today, Midnight Dance Team is more than just a dance group. It is a creative family built on passion, trust, and shared dreams, and the journey is far from over.
How do you develop themes or concepts for your performances?
Our creative process is very dynamic and closely connected to the clubs and rooms where we perform. Most of our shows are not pre-scripted in a fixed way, instead we adapt to the energy, the music, and the atmosphere of each venue.
Dances
The dances always depend on the club and the music being played. Because most of us know the full 3DXChat dance library, we can choose choreography on the spot. We listen to the music, feel the vibe in the room, and then select the dance that fits best in that moment. This keeps our performances fresh and natural, and no two nights are ever the same.Outfits
We currently rotate around 40 different outfits, which we regularly renew and update. For our regular rooms, we select outfits that match the mood of the night. For special events, room openings, or themed nights, we prepare custom outfits as soon as the flyer is released. Room owners often show us the club design and lighting in advance so we can match our colors, style, and details to the venue’s theme. In short, our concepts are shaped by the space, the music, and the moment. We combine preparation with spontaneity, which allows us to stay flexible while still delivering a professional and immersive show every time.

What qualities do you look for when recruiting new members?
For us, skill is not a requirement. We welcome both experienced dancers and complete beginners. Everyone starts somewhere, and we believe confidence and stage presence grow with time and experience.
What truly matters to us is attitude and team spirit.
We look for people who enjoy performing, who feel comfortable being on stage, and who want to be part of a supportive group. MDT is built on respect, open communication, and positive energy. We are proud to have a drama-free environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.
Reliability is also important, not in terms of how often someone performs, but in keeping commitments. Some members dance every week, others once a month. That’s perfectly fine. Real life always comes first. What matters is that when someone signs up for a show, they show up and give their best.
We are a well-organized team, but we dance because we enjoy it, not because it’s an obligation.
In short, we look for:
- A positive attitude
- Team spirit
- Confidence or the willingness to grow into it
- Respect and reliability
That mindset is what truly makes someone part of Midnight Dance Team.
How do you manage synchronization, rehearsals, and technical timing?
Synchronization is one of the biggest technical challenges in virtual performances. In 3DX, most teams work with “breakers” usually one breaker per three dancers, who click the sync at the right moment to keep the group aligned. That is standard practice across most dance teams.
We also use breakers, but what sets MDT apart is how we train timing and positioning. On dance nights, we use a structured countdown system. For transitions, and especially for our pole show segment, dancers click exactly on “0” to achieve synchronization. When multiple pole dancers start at the same moment, timing precision is essential.
During training sessions, we actively rehearse synchronization using a countdown script combined with a click cue. One dancer acts as the timing reference, while the others confirm visually whether they are fully synced. This creates awareness and technical discipline rather than relying on luck.
Most of our experienced dancers know exactly where each pole routine begins, which allows them to synchronize instinctively. In our clubhouse, where we train, we even use ground markers to indicate precise starting positions for pole routines. Some of our dancers have mastered this level of timing not only for pole performances but also for regular dance routines.
Recently, during training with three new pole dancers, we practiced multiple rounds until we achieved full synchronization and by the final rounds, everyone was perfectly aligned.
For us, synchronization is not accidental. It is structured, practiced, and refined and that preparation is what makes our live performances feel smooth and professional.

What’s the funniest or most unexpected thing that’s ever happened during a live performance?
One of the most unexpected moments happened during the Stoned Hedge event. We were performing with six dancers and everything was perfectly in sync the first night. But during one of the sets, one of our dancers had an emergency and had to step away.
When it reached 23:00, which was technically the end of our set, the rest of us chose to stay on stage and keep dancing so it wouldn’t look like she was left alone or that something was wrong. We continued for over an hour until she was able to return.
It wasn’t funny; it was unexpected in the best way. That moment made me realize we’re more than just a performance team. We genuinely support each other, on and off stage.
How do you see the role of dance teams shaping the nightlife and culture within the 3DXChat community?
Dance teams are more than performers; we are part of the social structure behind 3DXChat nightlife. We work closely with room owners and club organizers to match themes, openings, and special events. That cooperation helps create stronger, more immersive experiences for guests. When a club and a dance team align in style and atmosphere, the entire event feels more complete.
Most dance teams know each other and respect one another. We often dance in the same rooms or events, but each team has its own stage, its own identity, and its own performance style. We do not usually perform together in the same act, but there is mutual professionalism and understanding within the scene. That respect helps maintain a healthy and balanced nightlife environment.
Dance teams also create continuity. Regular performances give clubs character and help guests connect with familiar faces. Over time, dancers become part of the experience people return for, not just the music, but also the atmosphere and interaction.
Beyond the stage, being part of a team creates belonging. It offers structure, friendship, and positive energy in a virtual world where community truly matters. In that sense, dance teams do not just entertain; they help shape the culture, strengthen connections, and contribute to the long-term vitality of 3DXChat nightlife.
Do you have any closing words for us?
We would like to say that 3DXChat is often seen from the outside as just an adult game, but for many of us, it is much more than that.
It is a creative platform. It is a nightlife scene. It is a place where people build teams, organize events, design clubs, create fashion, perform, and form real friendships. The dance community in particular shows how much passion, structure, and dedication people invest here.
For MDT, this is about more than just dancing in a virtual world. It is about teamwork, trust, creativity, and community. We are proud to contribute to a scene that continues to grow and evolve beyond its stereotype.
We are also grateful to everyone involved, including dancers, DJs, club owners, photographers, guests, and other creatives who help make the community what it is.
Midnight Dance Team’s story reflects something deeper than choreography and synchronized routines. Behind the avatars and stage lights lies a community built on creativity, dedication, and genuine connection. As FleurNL describes, MDT is not only about delivering memorable performances but also about supporting one another and contributing to the wider culture that makes 3DXChat’s nightlife scene so dynamic.
Teams like MDT highlight the collaborative spirit that exists throughout the community, where dancers, DJs, designers, photographers, and club owners all play a role in shaping the experience. Together they transform virtual spaces into living stages where creativity thrives and friendships grow.
