In the evolving world of virtual nightlife, very few figures shine as brightly as Kitty. For Part 3 of our DJ Interview series, we hopped into Discord to catch up with one of 3DX’s most vibrant and energetic performers. Known for her electrically infused sets and magnetic personality, Kitty brings more than just music to the room, she brings a whole different vibe.
From the moment we started talking, Kitty’s personality was unmistakable: bubbly, bold, and completely herself. The energy she brings to her sets in 3DXChat is no act, it’s who she is.
Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you got into DJ’ing? Was it something you always wanted to do?
I’m Kitty, a lot of people know me from some parties, DJ, and silly things. DJ-ing, well, it’s not just about DJ-ing in the game. I started DJ-ing long years ago, with Virtual DJ 7. I started learning how to mix with software, and it was something I started to like a lot, so I decided to learn more about DJ-ing, about music. With time, I learned a bit more, and I started trying to create my own music in Fruity Loops. That’s when I understood more deeply what DJ-ing is. And then I decided to buy my own DJ controller and start mixing on a real table. All of this was before I joined 3dx.
How did you learn to DJ? Was it a lot of trial and error, or did someone help show you the ropes?
Honestly, a long time ago, I think I was watching some video on the internet, and I found the old Virtual DJ, called Virtual 7. I decided to experiment, watch videos of how to mix, etc. I think after that, I started to like it, and I started doing more.
I met some people who are real DJs, and they gave me some tips. One of my friends, from back in the old times, he had a club, and he was the DJ there. He’s the one who gave me tips, and also gave me music.
He even tested my new controller, the one with 4 decks, and he really loved the new stuff I was creating, this made me feel very happy that I taught him a little as well.
DJ-ing on 3DXChat, I just play when people ask me, honestly. I think that’s why I don’t play so much.
Some DJs, they put their names on Discord groups to be on lineups and all that, but me? Nevahhh…Of course I like to play in 3DXChat! And like OliverCream knows me well, I love to put power in my sets
How would you describe your music style, and what influences your track selection? Any genres or artists that particularly inspire you?
Normally I do mashups, and sometimes for Dropzone, I play some techno stuff, acid, etc. I never make any sets in advance, I never prepare anything. I always improvise live. I just open my folders and mix, live.
Me and CardinalCopia, when we DJ together, we do lot of silly things. One time, we changed our genders, me with his avi, and him with mine!
When I DJ, I try to feel the people in the room. If I see people vibing, I try to go more with that, like with popular mashups or high-energy stuff.
But always improvised… always just open folders and mix. Never prepared. I do have some sets I’ve recorded, though.
DJ-ing in a virtual world like 3DX must be pretty wild—what’s been your favorite gig so far, and how do you keep things fun for the crowd?
I don’t know, honestly, it all depends on the people, etc. Sometimes I just want to be silly and have fun, like if I’m the last DJ, for example. Then I start playing silly tunes, like chicken songs! xDDD
I love fun things, laughing, and being silly. Of course, I feel nice and happy when I’m mixing and I can see people vibing! That’s one thing I love to see when I mix.
And of course, I love when there are fun moments, when people are laughing, just enjoying. That’s the best.

Besides DJing, what does music mean to you personally? Has it played a big part in your life outside of performing?
I love music, I can’t go a day without it. Working, always with music; at home, always with music. I’m a music lover. It’s not just about DJ music, either. I love old rock, old tunes, Latin music, salsa, merengue, etc., etc.
But it all depends on my mood, of course. One genre I really love listening to, because it makes me feel good and positive and full of power, is Hardstyle.
Funny thing, though, I never mix Hardstyle in-game much, because it’s not a genre people really like. 3DXChat can be a bit weird about genres.
Before, people would listen to and play more Mainstage, Bigroom, etc. Now, techno is pretty much everywhere. It’s a bit sad for me, because there are so many other styles of music we could enjoy, but it feels like techno and mainstage, and sometimes tech house, are all we hear now.
If you were stuck on a desert island and could only bring three tracks with you, what would they be and what makes them special to you?
Easyone for me, Dr. Peacock, Creeds & Helen Ka – We Are All Sleeping
Tiësto – Adagio For Strings
Isabel Aaiún – Potra Salvaje (Hard Remix) ft. Fernando Moreno
The last one is Spanish like me.
I’m very reserved, not very much talkative. Just always silly and not brat ofc
DJ Kitty’s words perfectly capture who she is, both as a DJ and as a person. Her energy is contagious, regardless of if she’s mixing live in 3DX or chatting casually with us in Discord. There’s something about her authenticity and passion that makes her stand out. For Kitty, it seems it is not about perfecting every set or catering to the crowd, it’s about feeling the vibe in the moment, connecting with the people around her, and just having fun. Her unique blend of spontaneity and positivity is what makes her so special, both behind the decks and in real life.
