Early Fall at The Lake

Early fall brings what is possibly the largest update to The Lake since its creation. The entire Lodge and surrounding area was renovated, including the landscape. Also added were stables and a motel-like building with 8 separate chambers facing The Lake’s beloved sunset. The outer island was reworked to include yurt-style houses. Various other additions include the old mill that made a return.

With her unrelenting dedication to improve and add to what is one of the most beloved rooms of 3DX, Keely makes a significant contribution to our enjoyment of the game. Rooms like The Lake provide an oasis of calm in the sometimes turbulent virtual space. The regular updates keep the experience fresh and make sure there are always new things to discover.

This may be the largest I have ever completed and it brings about a new phase in what I hoped to achieve with the Lake. Early on, I a wanted the Lake to feel like a resort so that visitors felt they were on a vacation of sorts. The music, the crickets and the various areas to enjoy I hoped would inspire this. One of the things I always wanted to accomplish was to create consistency across all the major buildings at the Lake. The pavilion, the ledge, the stables, the pool and other facility buildings are now all utilising the same colour schemes and same style of architecture

This edition of The Lake also marks the first time there are 7 builds from 6 guest builders. With these contributions The Lake is gaining a collaborative element that rewards builders by showcasing their talent in a top tier room. These are some amazing additions and we highly recommend you to check them out:
