Glyptotheca Gallaria

Glyptotheca Gallaria
by Scribs

The Glyptotheca Gallaria is an art gallery compiled and curated by builder Scribs. In a similar way to Eskarina’s gallery, it displays the works of many different builders who have all contributed. The Glyptotheca Gallaria celebrated its first anniversary on July 13th, 2024. The entrance hall is dominated by Foucault’s Pendulum while all around the walls are decorated with art pieces reproduced from real life by Scribs. The oldest works are the transformation pieces which got this builder started in the world of art reproduction. The instrumental background music creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy and ponder the meaning of the diverse art pieces.

The “22 a day” under the names is a nod to the 22 veterans per day that remove themselves from their pain.

Note: the Military Suicide Awareness #22ADAY Movement is the advocacy action network and the natural next step to the mission of the Military Veteran Project.

Without the help of other great artists in The Builder’s Corner, I would not have been able to create one of the greatest out of the way places in 3DX. Some of you have watched me stream it, adding new pieces given to me along with my own builds. I love you all and hope that I can bring more artists into my gallery and grow beyond the 14 that I have now.

Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilisation, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every “superstar,” every “supreme leader,” every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Carl Sagan

Only those who attempt the absurd…will achieve the impossible. I think …I think it’s in my basement…Let me go upstairs and check.

The A10 is personal, I worked on them, not flew, back in my service days. I had a guest come in and just sit here. I asked her about it one day. Her brother was an A10 pilot that had passed away in an accident, not a crash. I was so touched I placed this here for her.

großartig!

Scribs has created a safe and fertile ground for self-expression, for himself and others. Applause, applause!

It has been a long time since I have seen such thoughtful art, let alone a gallery in the few social platforms I’ve in habited ( IMVU, Second Life, & 3DXChat). This has been THE most impressive and expressive I have seen 🙂 I truly am enjoying all the eye candy 🙂
please keep me in the loop 🙂
